Hibiscus tea is made from the dried calyces of the hibiscus flower. Here at Kalōpā Makai Farms, we hand pick the calyces, individually separate the calyces from the seed pod, dry and then package them so that you can enjoy this refreshing tea. Hibiscus tea is a favorite. Its tart cranberry like flavor can be enjoyed hot or cold. This tea has numerous benefits as well – lowering blood pressure, reducing cholesterol, and boosting the immune system just to name a few. When seeped in hot water the tea becomes a deep red.
This tea is being sold individually by weight and in our wonderful tea set. The tea set includes a hand crafted cup made exclusively for Kalōpā Makai Farm by Kealohi Ceramics, tea (makes approximately 12 cups), and a tea ball infuser. As each cup is individually made, they vary in shape, size, and color. The inside of each mug is white so that you can enjoy the beautiful color of the tea.
