Kalopa Makai Farms is 5 acre homestead situated on the scenic Hamakua Coast of Hawai’i Island. Our goal is to build a sustainable food forest that can be a model for the modern homesteader. We grow using the latest permaculture techniques, living and growing in balance with nature. We believe firmly in a polyculture approach to agriculture and are proud of the vast diversity on our land. We grow several commodities for local distribution, including Avocado, Dragonfruit, Starfruit, White Pineapple and our renowned, Estate Grown Coffee that is harvested and processed in small batches entirely by hand on site.  Mushrooms, our newest crop, have become especially popular.  We grow various oyster varieties and lion’s mane.

You can find us and our fabulous produce at two weekly farmer’s markets on the Big Island.  Please keep in touch, we will be adding products, events, tours and farm to table events in the near future. We hope to see you at the market!
